Daniel Sazonov is the Mayor of Helsinki. The Mayor chairs the City Board and is also tasked with leading the City’s administration, financial management and other operations.
The Mayor is a full-time elected official.
The City Council appoints the Mayor for the electoral term from among the City Councillors and Deputy Councillors.
