Rescue Services Sub-committee is responsible for decision-making concerning the Rescue services' duties. The Rescue Services Sub-committee, Rescue Commander and other office holders appointed by the Rescue Commander are rescue authorities of the Helsinki Rescue Department.
The City Council appoints the Rescue Services Sub-committee’s members and Chairs for the City Council’s period of office.
The Rescue Services Sub-committee has nine members. Each member has a personal deputy member.
